Arcela Hernandez is a board-certified family nurse practitioner working in the offices of James E. Race, MD.She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southwest Baptist University/ Mercy College of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Arcela has worked in many areas of nursing, from pediatrics to hospital emergency rooms. She has worked with Medical City of Arlington for six years, a bustling level II trauma center of excellence with 60 beds. She currently serves as the emergency department clinical supervisor.
She is an American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) member.
Arcela moved from Missouri to Texas in 2017. She fell in love with the people, culture, and of course, the weather. She believes it is important for our community to have a strong healthcare team behind them.
